The twelve Null-Keys of Creation, also known as Blades of Creation, were forged by That-Which-Abides placing them on an entirely different level from anything else in the cosmos.

They are not just powerful relics - they are the only things in existence that stand above all other creations.

They see it all and They see the cosmic battles among celestials and avatars and gods and knows there needs to be balance.

For what would happen if a god decided to destroy a species out of spite?

What would happen if a cosmic entity tried to dominate a whole species?

What if a species was about to exterminate the natural world around them in hopes of ascending?

There needs to be a balance, and what better balance than the god knowing that a member of that species holds a Blade that can kill it?

Or if the cosmic entity attacks the planet only to find a warrior holds the Null-Key to banish them?

Or if the species has a rebel/outcast who defends the natural world with a Null-Key that can turn the tide of battle?

The Blades are not just Balance, but Checks & Balances against forces mortals may not be aware of, or are aware and are resisting.
